Set up in 1977, we are now one of the largest community-based learning organisations in north London catering for the skills needs of over 1000 young people and adults each year. We aim, at all times, to offer supportive, high quality learning and development provision tailored to meet the individual needs of participants and enable them to reach their full potential.

We are committed to the principle and practice of equal opportunities and to meeting the diverse learning, development and employability needs of all the communities we serve. Learners are recruited strictly on the basis of our ability to meet their needs and the eligibility criteria set down by funding bodies.Springboard Islington operates from three training centres in the boroughs of Islington and Haringey that are accessible to learners across a wide geographic area of central, north and east London. Both its Derek Higgins Construction centre, Hornsey Road, N7, and its Hornsey centre on Hampden Road N8, contain fully fitted workshops that meet construction industry-training standards.
