Course content and activities: This course offers young people who wish to work in the Child Care sector a pathway to higher vocational qualifications and employment in this area. Course location: Springboard Islington Hornsey Centre, 1st Floor, Willmot House, Hampden Road, London N8 OHD
Entry Requirements: No formal qualifications are required. However, learners need, as a minimum to be competent to Entry Level 3 in Literacy and Numeracy. They must also demonstrate empathy with children and be reliable.
Additional support available: Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT, Dyslexia support, Personal and Social Development, Mentoring, Guidance and Jobsearch.
Course duration: The period of time learners spend n the course is based on their identified needs. The maximum length of stay is 40 weeks.
Recruitment process: Information sessions are held every Monday and Wednesday afternoon at the Springboard Islington Seven Sisters Road centre. Young people who wish to join the E2E programme then undertake and initial assessment to identify any needs they may have after which they receive an induction.
