E2E CONSTRUCTION MULTI SKILLS Course content and activities: This course is geared towards young people who wish to work as a handyperson, caretaker or property maintenance tradesperson. Learners undertake basic training in the areas of Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Ceramic Tiling and Brickwork and Plastering and have the chance to achieve a level 1 award. Course location: Derek Higgins Construction Training Centre, 179 Hornsey Road, London N7 6RA. Entry requirements:No formal qualifications are required. However learners do need to be enthusiastic and have an orientation towards construction. Additional support available: Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT, Dyslexia support. Personal and Social Development, Mentoring, Guidance and Jobsearch. Course duration:The period of time learners spend n the course is based on their identified needs. The maximum length of stay is 40 weeks. Recruitment process:Information sessions are held every Monday and Wednesday afternoon at the Springboard Islington Seven Sisters Road centre. Young people who wish to join the E2E programme then undertake and initial assessment to identify any needs they may have after which they receive an induction.
