E2E PROGRAMMES

The Springboard Islington E2E Foundation Learning programme offers a broad curriculum of learning and development provision to young people aged 16 to 18, who are not in any form of employment, education or training. E2E is intended mainly for those young people who are most likely to benefit from its provision and progress to a positive destination at the end of their time on the programme. The Springboard Islington E2E Programme is delivered in partnership with the Central Training Group and Jobwise Training.

Springboard Islington and its partners offer young people a comprehensive curriculum of E2E provision encompassing:

  • Carpentry and Joiner
  • Childcare
  • Construction Multi-Skills
  • Foundation
  • Hairdressing and Salon Services
  • Using Information Technology
  • Painting and Decorating

Essential Skills:

  • Functional skills in English, Mathematics and ICT
  • Key Skills
  • ESOL
  • Dyslexia Assessment and Support

Personal and Social Development:

  • Djing and Music Technology
  • Motivational Training
  • Guidance
  • Employability
  • Healthy Living Support and Advice
  • Mentoring

Financial Support: Young people who join E2E are entitled to the maximum Educational Maintenance Allowance of £30 per week regardless of household income. Learners are provided with support in making their application for EMA.

Programme Duration: The period of time learners spend n the course is based on their identified needs. The maximum length of stay is 40 weeks.

Recruitment Process: Springboard Islington holds information sessions about its E2E provision every Monday afternoon at its Seven Sisters Road centre where young people who wish to join the programme can complete an application form. Young people who wish to join one of the E2E courses being offered by one of the sub-contractor providers should contact the organisation concerned directly.
