FOUNDATION LEARNING Foundation Learning is a new national programme for young people. Springboard Islington's Foundation Learning programme is open to young people aged 16-19 and for people aged up to 24 with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Why is Foundation Learning important? The programme enables young people take part in learning that will support them in achieving qualifications and progress to positive destinations both at work and in life. FL allows choice and flexibility. Learning & Development with Springboard Springboard offers learners a personalised curriculum that enables them to undertake the mix of qualifications and activities which are most appropriate for their individual needs. What Subject Areas does Springboard offer? We offer vocational training in the following areas:
Careers guidance Throughout the programme learners have access to high quality Impartial Advice and Guidance that supports them in identifying and progressing to a positive employment, education or training destination at the end of their time on the programme. We provide young people with a high level of pastoral support. All learners are allocated a key worker who oversees their progress while on Foundation Learning and helps them in resolving any issues they may have in completing their course. Finding employment The Springboard Foundation Learning Programme offers learners support in developing the employability, personal and social skills that will help them get a job and hold on to it. |
